Happy Birthday, Army!

239 Years of Defending Freedom

Army-BDAYToday the U.S. Army celebrates 239 years of defending the principles of liberty and freedom around the globe. As important as they’ve been throughout their history, what they’ve worn has also been crucial—from original woolen uniforms that were too thick for summer and too light for winter, to modern synthetic materials that can handle almost anything thrown at them.

We created an infographic last year highlighting all the changes made to U.S. Army BDUs throughout the years, from headwear all the way to footwear. So take a look at how much has changed since the days of the Revolutionary War to everything in between.

All of us at Pioneer Services thank all of you who have served in the Army for your service to our nation.
