Honoring and Helping Our Four-Legged Heroes

Celebrating K9 Veterans Day

As we noted in last year’s blog celebrating K9 Veterans Day, the history of dogs serving in the military dates all the way back to the ancient Egyptians. But not all dogs who serve do so in the field. There are some who do it here at home, working as service dogs and companions to our heroes who have been injured while serving our country. They are integral parts of the recovery process for these veterans and are often considered part of the family.

To honor all of the pups who make a huge difference in the lives of military members—whether in the field or here at home—consider checking out, and even supporting, the following organizations.
