Two Soldiers receive trip to race as reward for duty in Iraq

KANSAS CITY, Mo.
Two Soldiers from Fort Hood will be spending the weekend of April 3, enjoying some much deserved rest and relaxation at the O'Reilly 300 at Texas Motor Speedway. The trip is being provided by their local Pioneer Services Representatives and includes hotel accommodations, tickets and pit passes, and both will get to meet Bobby Hamilton, Jr., one of the premier drivers in the NASCAR Busch Series.
The Soldiers recently returned from Iraq and were chosen due to service that, as one of their nominator's put it, went "above and beyond the call of duty." Both were praised as excellent Soldiers and true American heroes.
"We're proud to give back to those who have done so much for our country," says Rich Brown, manager of the Pioneer Services office at 202 E. Veterans Memorial Boulevard in Killeen, Texas. "Both of these Soldiers represent everything that is great about America, and being able to provide them with a weekend of fun and, more importantly, relaxation is the least we can do."
