Strategic partnership offers more options for military taxpayers

KANSAS CITY, Mo.
This tax season Pioneer Services Representatives and H&R Block are offering the military taxpayer discounts on upgraded online tax preparation services.
While free federal tax filing is available at most military installations, or online with partners in the Free File Alliance, some military members may prefer tax preparation services that offer enhanced features beyond the typical free filing services. For military members making that choice, Pioneer Services Representatives are providing a $10 military discount on upgraded online services from H&R Block. In addition to the discount, both H&R Block and Pioneer Services Representatives will donate $1 to support wounded service men and women. As a bonus for exploring free filing options or choosing the upgraded services available through www.pioneerservices.com, Pioneer Services Representatives will give military taxpayers a free Insurance and Taxes e-book.
"We realize there are many options for military men and women to file their taxes and they should explore those options that are the best fit for them," said Joe Freeman, Chief Strategy Officer for Pioneer Financial Services, Inc. "But we want our partnership with H&R Block, an industry leader in tax preparation services, to provide a meaningful alternative if the free services aren’t for them for whatever reason."
A link to information on future tax planning is also available as part of the Pioneer Services and H&R Block partnership web site. Service members can learn how to increase deductions, adjust withholdings, and other strategies that can reduce how much tax they owe, or even increase how much of a return on taxes they get back.
