For second straight year, we were recognized by The Kansas City Business Journal for growth, community involvement

KANSAS CITY, Mo.
For the second time in as many years, Pioneer Services, the Military Banking Division of MidCountry Bank, was recognized as a "Champion of Business" by the Kansas City Business Journal. The company was recognized at the Business Journal's Fifth Annual Champion of Business Awards luncheon, which honors the best of Kansas City's business community.
Selected by an independent panel of judges, winners of the award have shown sustained financial success over the course of several years, displayed innovation in their products and services, created a strong and vibrant corporate culture, and are dedicated to involvement in the Kansas City community.
Pioneer Services was selected for both the 2010 and 2011 Champions of Business awards due to its strong performance despite a struggling economy. Other financial services providers have been impacted by the economic slowdown, but Pioneer Services has continued to experience significant growth and expansion, and has done so while remaining involved in the communities it serves, and reinvesting in its team members and their continued development.
"This award speaks volumes about the dedication and commitment our team members have to military families," said Joe Freeman, president of Pioneer Services. "By staying true to our values, finding new ways to help military families, and giving back to our communities, we have found success during these tough economic times. We thank our team members for driving such success, and the Kansas City Business Journal for honoring us along with so many outstanding Kansas City companies."
