The “APEX Awards for Publication Excellence” are an annual competition for writers, editors, publications staff, and business and nonprofit communicators that recognizes some of the best communication materials in the country. Pioneer Services is proud to announce that its Blog for Military Families was selected as a winner in the 2014 APEX Awards. Winners in other categories include ESPN, Lockheed Martin, the U.S. Navy, and FedEx.
The blog began in 2012 as a way to quickly share information on a number of topics, including financial tips (budgeting, saving, etc.), military-specific matters such as deployment, and even holiday shopping ideas for the entire family. Since its inception it has featured nearly 200 blogs thanks to multiple posts each week.
“Our team does a fantastic job of keeping the site updated with relevant content,” said Randy Freese, Chief Marketing Officer for Pioneer Services. “The goal is to give families a diverse blog that informs while also being interesting to read. We are honored that the APEX Awards recognized our efforts—it lets us know we’re doing things the right way.”
