ABA honors Pioneer Services in 2015 ABA Community Commitment Awards

American Bankers Association recognizes financial education, help for nontraditional/underserved borrowers

Recently, the American Bankers Association (ABA) named Pioneer Services, the military division of MidCountry Bank, as a Finalist/Honorable Mention recipient in two categories for their 2015 Community Commitment Awards. The company was recognized for the assistance it provides to service members under the Nontraditional Borrower/Underbanked category, as well as for its commitment to financial literacy under the Financial Education category.

This recognition is one of several national awards the company received in 2015 for its commitment to financial literacy, corporate social responsibility, and helping underserved borrowers in the military community. In August, the ABA's American Banking Journal spotlighted Pioneer Services for having one of the most comprehensive and progressive financial education programs in the nation.

The ABA is the premier organization for banks across the country, offering a variety of support and programs. One of those programs is their Community Commitment Awards, which recognizes institutions that give back in six different categories. The ABA received more than 200 total submissions, and Pioneer Services was the only one to be a finalist—or even receive an award—in more than one category.
