Pioneer Services, a division of MidCountry Bank, has always had a strong corporate culture, focused heavily on community giving and community support. For years, the company has helped military families through its offerings of financial products and services, free financial education, volunteerism, and corporate giving and donations. These efforts were recognized recently when the American Business Awards (called the “Stevies”) named the company a Finalist for Best Corporate Social Responsibility in 2015.
The CSR award noted the company's paid volunteer time off benefit and its free financial education program. It also marks the fourth time the company’s programs have been recognized by the American Business Awards.
“A key part of our employee culture is giving back to the communities we serve”, said Steve Meads, president of Pioneer Services. “What others today call corporate social responsibility we’ve called business as usual for nearly three decades, and it’s still nice to be recognized for our on-going commitment and support for our military customers.”
Pioneer Services is no stranger to the American Business Awards, having won several times in the past for its CSR program and leadership. The company also won a Gold Stevie for "Best Website – Banking” in 2014.
