Pioneer Services was recently notified that its Financial Education program is a Finalist in the 13th Annual American Business Awards, for the Public Service category. Titled, Helping Improve Military Family Financial Readiness, ABA recognized the company’s on-going commitment to helping military families, including last year’s Military Financial Literacy Survey, the HolidaySpendingPlanner.org tool, and the financial bill of rights.
Pioneer Services has created and maintained a comprehensive, free financial education program as part of its core services to military families for nearly two decades. This includes free printed publications; books; printed and electronic newsletters; and a Web-based learning center with a blog and electronic collateral materials. A number of initiatives were implemented in 2014, including the Military Financial Literacy Survey done in partnership with the National Foundation for Credit Counseling, an on-line HolidaySpendingPlanner.org budgeting tool, and the promotion of a 10-point “Financial Bill of Rights” for military families.
Pioneer Services is no stranger to the American Business Awards, having won several times in the past for its CSR program, and leadership. The company also won a Gold Stevie for "Best Website – Banking” in 2014.
