Local Pioneer offices give back to service members during National Military Appreciation Month
Promotions, lunches, and recognitions “thank” military families for their continued service
May 29, 2015
May is designated as National Military Appreciation Month, a time to recognize all those who have served. Pioneer Services, a division of MidCountry Bank and its team members around the country undertook a number of initiatives in their local market offices to recognize the nation’s military during this period. These included, among other things:
- Displaying “National Military Appreciation Month ‘Thank You’” posters and wearing promotional buttons in public to recognize service members.
- Partnering with ASYMCA at Ft. Hood for a free service members cook-out, with a large promotional tent, portable grill, and a brand new Ford Mustang being raffled off to raise funds for military causes. With free coffee from next door neighbor Starbucks, the event held in Pioneer’s parking lot was a tremendous success for all attendees and volunteers.
- Free movie tickets, goodie bags, and giveaways throughout the month with other local retail establishments including 7-Eleven and Miramar Fish Tacos at the Camp Pendleton office.
- Appreciation Friday’s throughout May, with free food and popcorn, as well as a parking lot cook-out with other local establishments at Joint Base Lewis-McChord outside of Seattle.
“Our team members work every day to show their appreciation to military families,” said Steve Meads, President of Pioneer Services and MidCountry Bank. “As such, we encourage others to take a moment during National Military Appreciation Month, and on an on-going basis, to recognize and thank those who continually sacrifice so much for our nation.”
