Pioneer Services, a division of MidCountry Bank, was recently honored at the 13th Annual American Business Awards where it received a Bronze “Stevie” award for “Best Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program.” The company’s CSR efforts had been recognized earlier when it was named a finalist in a preliminary round.
Called "the business world's own Oscars" by The New York Post, the American Business Awards are a national, all-encompassing business awards program honoring great performances in the workplace. More than 3,000 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in several categories in 2015.
For more than 25 years, Pioneer Services has helped military families through its offerings of financial products and services, free financial education, volunteerism, and corporate giving and donations.
“A key part of our employee culture is giving back to the communities we serve”, said Steve Meads, president of Pioneer Services. “What others call corporate social responsibility we’ve called business as usual nearly three decades”.
Pioneer Services is no stranger to the American Business Awards, having won several times in the past for its CSR program, and executive leadership. The company also won a Gold Stevie for "Best Website – Banking” in 2014.
