Pioneer Hosts Military Spouse Expo at Camp Pendleton
Hundreds Attend Event Supporting Spouses’ Small Businesses
November 17, 2016
Pioneer Services recently hosted a Military Spouse Vendor Expo for small military-spouse owned businesses at the Veterans Association of North County in Oceanside, CA. The event provided an opportunity for these entrepreneurial individuals to sell their goods, crafts, and services, or promote their businesses directly to the public and other military families at a single coordinated location. Admission was free, with several hundred attendees enjoying food, raffle drawings, gift bags for the first 100 guests, and the opportunity to shop at a number of unique booths. Attendees were encouraged to bring in unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots, and were entered into raffle drawings.
The event, hosted by Pioneer Services, was coordinated with the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce, the nonprofit A Million Thanks, the Veterans Association of North County, and several family readiness organizations from Camp Pendleton. Pioneer also coordinated with Military Spouse Magazine to provide all attendees with complimentary copies of the publication, while giving away one-year subscriptions to a number of lucky guests.
