Supporting Military thru the Navy Safe Harbor Foundation

Helping seriously wounded, ill, or injured sailors and their families

2018NavySafeHarborPresentationHEaderAs a leader in corporate social responsibility, and given the company’s ongoing support for service members and military families, Pioneer Services regularly donates to nonprofit organizations and causes that advocate on behalf of the military.

The company recently had the privilege of partnering with the Navy Safe Harbor Foundation (NSHF), whose mission like Pioneer's is to help improve the lives of service members and their loved ones. Pioneer representatives met with and presented a donation to Rear Admiral Christopher Cole (ret), President and Executive Director, and Deputy Executive Director Heidi Weller of NSHF in their Northern Virginia offices – with discussions about additional opportunities to partner in the future.

Well recognized in the military community, NSHF provides care for seriously wounded, ill, and injured Navy personnel when additional assistance is needed. An example occurred recently when a sailor needed cancer treatments at MD Anderson Hospital. Allowances didn’t cover the expenses for his small children to travel with him, so NSHF covered hotel and travel expenses.

Headquartered in Kansas City, Pioneer Services has been providing financial services to service members for more than 30 years, assisting 1.4 million military families. Nationally recognized for its commitment to social responsibility, the company is pleased to support the military community through a combination of philanthropic support, volunteerism, and free financial education programs.
